I am Hawaiian on my fathers side. My father was born and raised in Kona on the island of Hawai'i and was more than 50 percent Hawaiian.

I have a masters degree in education from the University of Hawaii at Manoa.

Chief Executive Officer, Office of Hawaii Affairs, 2000 to 2011
Personal statement:
My experience as the longest service administrative leader of the Office of Hawaiian Affairs qualifies me to be a delegate to the Native Hawaiian Convention. During my time with OHA I spend a tremendous mount of energy moving Hawaiian self-determination forward. I am willing to serve and will do my best if elected.
