Personal statement:
"E onipa'a kakou" compels me to engage in the process of native Hawaiian self-governance. Through my daily work, I am reminded of our ancestors mission and vision for our people. Moreover, I see hope in the eyes of my children and know that there is promise for a better tomorrow. A tomorrow where our past will be alive and well in our future. Please allow me the opportunity to represent the voice of our people--homesteaders, civic leaders, business owners, teachers, farmers, caretakers, lifelong learners, and our Kauhale a me na ohana. Mahalo nui loa!
